ALLEN PARK, Mich. – Golden Tate has a perfect passer rating in the NFL, one of those weird things that sometimes happens to running backs or wide receivers.
The Detroit Lions wide receiver has thrown one pass in professional football – the only one he remembers throwing in college or the NFL – and years later, it remains his favorite play.
Tate’s lone throw came in the fourth quarter of Seattle’s 28-7 win over the New York Jets. The Seahawks, due to two penalties, had a first-and-goal from the 23-yard line in the rain.
