ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Eric Ebron sought something different, someone to take a chance on. The Detroit Lions tight end planned on expressing his passion more through footwear, but he wanted to find a fresh designer to work with.
A conversation with former Lions tight end Joseph Fauria along with some online research led him to his eventual solution: Chicago native Dillon DeJesus. So he gave him a tryout.
"I wanted to choose somebody that no one was talking to or no one was doing," Ebron said. "I looked at all his designs and they were crazy so I had him design a pair and after he designed a few pairs, I had him do a few pairs of shoes.
