Friday open thread: Which position will be most improved on the Lions defense?

After taking a look at the offense last week, it is now the defense’s turn. The Lions have seemingly been reconstructing the defense ever since Bob Quinn took over as general manager, and this past offseason has been no different. Regardless of the coaching staff and defensive philosophy, it is clear that some new talent is needed.

Detroit spent two of its top three picks on quality defensive talent, selecting cornerback Jeff Okudah and edge Julian Okwara. These prospects fit nicely with the free agent crop of Danny Shelton, Nick Williams, Jamie Collins Sr.
