Franklin, Grammer to sing at Lions' Thanksgiving game

Allen Park — The Detroit Lions have announced Motown legend Aretha Franklin will sing the national anthem for the team's Thanksgiving game against the Minnesota Vikings on Nov. 24 and multi-platinum pop star Andy Grammer will provide the halftime entertainment.

Franklin, a Detroit native, has won 18 Grammy awards and was the first female elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Grammer released his debut album in 2011 and has had five singles in the Billboard 100, including his latest, "Fresh Eyes."

Prior to Grammer's performance, a video vignette will air, sharing the story of Lions cornerback Darius Slay inviting Detroit P.
