For most NFL players, the bye week is spent relaxing, traveling, or logging quality time with loved ones. Unfortunately for Detroit Lions center Frank Ragnow, he didn’t get to do much of any of those during his team’s Week 5 bye.
Just over a week prior to Detroit’s rest, Ragnow suffered a partially torn pectoral muscle against the Arizona Cardinals. Despite thinking that he had torn his pectoral, he played through it and didn’t miss a snap in that game.
Following the game, trainers had decided that as much as Ragnow wanted to play in Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks, it was best to give him a game off.
