FIRST DOWN: STAFFORD STEPPING UP
Matthew Stafford’s face seems to light up a little brighter whenever he’s asked about new offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter.
There’s no denying that Stafford has looked terrific during the Lions’ current win streak that reached three games after Thursday’s 45-14 win over Philadelphia. The Lions have won all three games Cooter has called since he was able to implement more of his scheme changes during the bye week. Over that span, Stafford has played great.
In wins over Green Bay, Oakland and Philadelphia, Stafford is a combined 73-of-111 passing (65 percent) for 861 yards with eight total touchdowns, one interception and a passer rating of 106.
