FIRST DOWN: DEFENSE CAME TO PLAY
The defense we saw the Detroit Lions play Monday night in Seattle is the defense we got used to seeing most of last season on their way to finishing as the league’s second-best unit in 2014.
It was attacking the quarterback (six sacks), forcing turnovers (3), scoring points (fumble return TD) and making it tough for opponents to put points on the board (13 points allowed).

“We played lights out,” veteran safety James Ihedigbo said after Detroit’s heartbreaking 13-10 loss to the Seahawks.
