The Eric Ebron saga is Detroit is officially over. The former first-round tight end will be a member of the Indianapolis Colts, as first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter and later confirmed by the Colts themselves:
Ebron visited the Colts after a visit with the Carolina Panthers over the weekend. The Colts likely offered him a better opportunity, as the Panthers already have Greg Olsen on the roster.
As for compensation, Schefter is reporting that the deal is for two years and a maximum value of $15 million. That appears to be less than what Ebron would have made if he stayed in Detroit on the one-year, $8.
