DETROIT -- Still not healthy months after his release, former Detroit Lions linebacker DeAndre Levy has filed an injury grievance against the franchise.

Levy never fully recovered from the knee injury he suffered in the first game of the 2016 season against Indianapolis that required surgery to repair a torn meniscus. He played in the team's final five games of the season, including the playoffs.

Since that point, the knee did not improve, requiring him to have another surgery with Dr. James Andrews to have cartilage removed and to re-do the meniscus surgery he initially had.
