Former Detroit Lions general manager Bob Quinn has found a new job as training camps open across the league. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Quinn has been hired by the Cleveland Browns as the team’s senior consultant to their football operations department. The Browns have yet to announce the hiring.
Quinn served as the Lions’ general manager from 2016 to 2020. While he enjoyed some success early in his career—selecting Taylor Decker and Graham Glasgow in his first NFL Draft—that success quickly wore off. With high-profile draft misses like Jarrad Davis, Teez Tabor and Jahlani Tavai, as well as some significant free agency mistakes (Justin Coleman, Jesse James, LeGarrette Blount), the shine quickly wore off with Quinn.
