If you were holding out hope that Anthony Zettel would wind up back in Detroit as part of the Lions’ practice squad, the Cleveland Browns buried those dreams on Thursday afternoon. A day after the Lions surprisingly waived Zettel, the Browns claimed him off waivers, immediately adding him to their 53-man roster.
The Lions decided to move on from their 2016 sixth-round pick on Wednesday afternoon, cutting him in favor of waiver claim Romeo Okwara, who, in turn, was waived by the New York Giants the day before.
