Former Lions cornerback Nevin Lawson suspended 4 games

Former Detroit Lions cornerback Nevin Lawson appears to be facing a four-game suspension. Lawson sent out a tweet Monday night explaining that the league has suspended him for the first four games of the 2019 season because he unknowingly ingested Ostarine, a banned substance by the NFL.

“Despite being very cautious about what I put into my body, I discovered that a test determined that I ingested something that is on the NFL’s banned substance list,” Lawson said via Twitter. “Specifically, the substance is Ostarine, which I have never knowingly taken.
