Offensive tackle Gosder Cherilus was released by the Indianapolis Colts over the weekend, but don't expect the Detroit Lions to express any interest in bringing him back.
Back in 2013, when offensive tackle Gosder Cherilus became a free agent, the Detroit Lions were never really a threat to re-sign him. Although he was coming off a career season in Detroit, the Lions weren't interested in breaking the bank for a generally inconsistent right tackle, especially with Corey Hilliard and Jason Fox waiting in the wings to start.
The Indianapolis Colts, on the other hand, decided to sign Cherilus to a five-year deal worth $35 million.
