A former Detroit Lions practice squad player is headed to next year's Olympics.
Carlin Isles, who briefly moonlighted as a wide receiver and returner on Detroit's practice squad during the final week of the 2013 season, ended up qualifying for the 2016 Olympics with the United States rugby sevens squad Sunday.
