According to his agency, former Detroit Lions wide receiver Quintez Cephus has signed with the Houston Texans.
Cephus was the Lions’ fifth-round pick back in 2020 and spent three years in Detroit. At times, Cephus flashed an ability to play at the NFL level—even catching 20 balls for 349 yards and two touchdowns his rookie season. However, Cephus unfortunately dealt with injuries for the next two years of his career. In 2021, Cephus broke his collarbone in a Week 5 game against the Vikings, forcing him to miss the rest of the season. The following year, Cephus suffered an ankle injury that cost him the final 13 games of the season.
