When we last checked in with former Detroit Lions general manager Matt Millen, the situation was dire. Having been diagnosed with a rare heart disease called amyloidosis back in 2017. The disease forced him to step down from his job as analyst for Big Ten Network in October, and he was in desperate need of a heart transplant, for which he had been on the waiting list for over two months.
Sunday brought great news for Millen. According to Peter King of NBC Sports, Millen found a matching heart and underwent surgery at 1 a.m. Monday morning.
