First-quarter update: Packers 3, Lions 0

GREEN BAY, Wisc. -- Well, it's not a blowout. At least not yet.

The Green Bay Packers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead against the Detroit Lions after a 12-play, 57-yard drive to open the contest, but were held scoreless the remainder of the opening quarter.

The problem for Detroit is the offense hasn't mustered anything against the Packers defense. The Lions gained just one first down and 17 total yards on three possessions.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford has completed just one of his six throws and running backs Ameer Abdullah and Joique Bell have combined for a measly seven yards on five carries.
