Lions top Jets, 23-3
Lions fans will have to remind themselves that it’s only the preseason.
But even that counts for something.
The Lions kicked off their season with a 23-3 win over the New York Jets in the preseason opener on Thursday night at Ford Field.
Matthew Stafford competed both of his passes, including a 35-yard touchdown toss to Golden Tate and the first-team offense looked crisp, even without Calvin Johnson, who dressed but didn’t play.
