Matthew Stafford’s fourth touchdown pass of the game, a six-yarder to Calvin Johnson (#81) with just 21 seconds left in the game, appeared at first glance to be a simple pitch and catch between Stafford and a single-covered Johnson in the back of the end zone.
But it’s the set up of the play and pre-snap motion by running back Theo Riddick (#25) that allowed Johnson to have a terrific one-on-one matchup vs. cornerback Tracy Porter (#21).
The play is the focus of this week’s Film Review:
The Lions are facing a 1st and goal from the Bears 6-yard line trailing 31-27 with 25 seconds left in the game.
