Whatever you think of Jim Caldwell’s strategy to onside kick with just under three minutes to play in Sunday’s loss against the Houston Texans, the Detroit Lions would have gotten the ball back with a chance to tie the game had they come up with one defensive stop.
But after holding the Texans to 29 yards rushing through the first three quarters, the Lions allowed Lamar Miller to gain 25 yards on four carries on the game’s final drive to seal the Houston victory.
