Coaches evaluate each interception a quarterback throws after the season, according to Lions offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter.
When the Lions look at Matthew Stafford's from 2015, they'll see a myriad of issues that led to the turnovers, from poor blocking, to imperfect route running, to mistakes by the quarterback.
But, whatever led to Stafford's 11 interceptions in the first eight games, which was tied for the league lead at the time, he's found a way to curb the problem as teams have picked him off just once in the past four games.
What exactly has led to the reduced interceptions is unclear, but Cooter thinks a quarterback being comfortable helps limit mistakes.
