ALLEN PARK -- Jim Caldwell and Teryl Austin said they weren't worried about Ezekiel Ansah. A couple hours later, we saw why.
The Detroit Lions defensive end was seen sprinting on the side with a trainer during practice Tuesday afternoon. It's the first time he's been active at all during a practice open to the media, and the best sign yet he'll be ready for the Sept. 10 opener against Arizona.
"I'm not soothsayer, I'm not a prognosticator," Caldwell said. "I can't tell the future, I can't predict that. But I feel good about it, but anything can happen these days.
