SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Vance Walker got to see his friend and former Georgia Tech teammate Calvin Johnson back in September, when the Denver Broncos beat the Detroit Lions at Ford Field.
The two spent a few minutes catching up before and after the game, and though Johnson didn't say anything about retirement, Walker, a backup lineman on the Broncos' NFL-best defense, said he should have known it was the case.
"I had a small inkling," Walker said at Super Bowl 50 media night this week. "One of our mutual friends (hinted at it), and just speaking to him.
