Ex-Patriots are big fans of new Lions strength coach

When the Detroit Lions return for their off-season workout program in mid-April, one of the first faces they’ll see is new strength and conditioning coach Harold Nash Jr.

Nash was hired last month to run the Lions’ strength program after 11 seasons with the New England Patriots, and two of his former players said last week at the Super Bowl that Nash will have a noticeable impact in Detroit.

“I’m a big fan of his,” said former Patriots linebacker Ted Johnson, now a host at 610 Sports Radio in Houston. “He was hired by Mike Woicik.
