ALLEN PARK -- Jim Caldwell is a former Detroit Lions coach who proudly hails from a family of preachers. Vince McMahon is a wrestling mogul who once orchestrated a tag team match against God himself.

Caldwell has joined a panel that is helping advise the people rebooting the XFL, according to ProFootballTalk. The league, headed by McMahon, is expected to resume play in 2020.
Originally launched in 2001, the XFL was known as much its attempts at shock and awe as it was about football, such as promising to take a camera inside the cheerleaders' locker room.
