HOUSTON -- Buffalo safety James Ihedigbo was sprinting across the field during a Week 14 game against Pittsburgh when an offensive lineman fell into him. Pain began streaking through his leg.
He thought he suffered a high ankle sprain, but decided to tough it out.
"Went to the sideline, was going to ask them to tape it," said Ihedigbo, who played for the Lions from 2014-15. "But I was like, 'Nah, I'll just tighten my shoes.'"
So Ihedigbo ran back onto the field, and finished the game. He made six tackles. Then he found out, he'd played through a broken leg.
