Matt Millen has a new heart and a renewed outlook on life.
Millen, the former Detroit Lions general manager and Super Bowl-winning linebacker, said he feels like he has "more of a purpose now," after undergoing a heart transplant on Dec. 24 in New Jersey, according longtime NFL reporter Peter King.
"I have not been spared for nothing," Millen, 60, recently told NBC Sports' King, in his weekly "Football Morning in America" column.
