ALLEN PARK -- Matt Patricia tried to stay composed as he addressed the decades-old sexual assault allegations that surfaced late Wednesday night. He spent almost half of his 8-minute presser reading from prepared remarks. When he did take questions, 13 of them before a PR man cut it off, he kept his answers mostly short and to the point.
But it wasn't hard to see the emotion that was boiling under the surface either.
He was accused of violently assaulting a woman on South Padre Island while on spring break in 1996. Patricia says he's innocent, and he says it unequivocally.
