NEW ORLEANS -- They knew what would likely be coming when they put on Christmas-themed cleats Monday night against New Orleans. So Eric Ebron and Lance Moore accepted it. The two Detroit Lions expect they’ll be fined by the NFL.
“Yeah, basically,” Moore said. “Stupid as it is.”
Moore and Ebron made the decision to wear the cleats a couple of weeks ago -- and both players consulted with a shoe designer Ebron knows to create the custom cleats for the two of them. The cleats arrived this week and they wanted to wear them for a nationally-televised game.
