Engline blows during take-off of Delta flight carrying Lions reporters

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Pilots had to abort a Delta flight bound for Detroit right before take-off after one of its engines blew. The flight was carrying numerous Detroit Lions journalists leaving San Francisco.

One of those journalists was FOX 2 reporter Jennifer Hammond. "Settling in for a snooze on the Red eye back from SFO and we blew an engine taxiing on take off," Hammond wrote on Twitter. "This is a first for me in all my years traveling. Scary AF!"

Her co-workers, photojournalist Jeff Holloway got video of the incident.

Confirmed engine fire and shut down.
