Allen Park, Mich.--Former Detroit Lions receiver Dorne Dibble, 88, passed away Thursday evening at his home in Northville, Mich.
Dibble played for the Lions for six seasons (1951, 1952-57) and was a member of the 1953 and 1957 World Championship teams. In 68 career games, he tallied 146 receptions for 2,552 yards and caught 19 touchdowns. He also recorded an interception in 1951 and totaled four fumble recoveries during his career. He had a career-year in 1954 when he caught 46 passes for 768 yards and scored six touchdowns to help the team reach the world title game for the third time in four seasons.
