With 32 teams and over a thousand of players spread across the National Football League, it can be difficult for some players to earn the acclaim they deserve.
Tom Blair and Gennaro Filice of NFL.com made a list of the NFL’s most underappreciated players for each team, and Blair’s selection for the Detroit Lions was linebacker Alex Anzalone. That nod is certainly merited, given how important Anzalone has become for the Lions defense, though few people outside of Detroit would consider him a household name.
It does beg the question about what other Lions players are underrated.
