The Detroit Lions offense had a slow start to the season last week, but there is little concern that they’ll get things turned around. Detroit has been too good on that side of the ball for the past few years, and with so many ways to attack opposing defenses, they’re going to be fine in the long term.
Although it was an encouraging opening performance against the Los Angeles Rams, the verdict is still very much out on the Lions defense. Granted, LA was missing several starters on offense, but the defense managed to still hold them to just 20 points while making Matthew Stafford’s life as difficult as possible.
