“Monday Night Football” aside, Week 5 is in the books. For Detroit Lions fans, it was spent on the sidelines watching the rest of the NFL battle it out.
Unfortunately, there were a lot of results that did the Lions no favors. All three of the other NFC North teams were victorious, and now every team in the division has a record above .500. In fact, the overall record of the four NFC North teams is a collective 14-5. The next closest division in the AFC West, which has an overall record of 11-7.
When looking at our Week 5 Lions rooting guide, Detroit only got the preferred outcome in two of seven games: The Giants over the Seahawks and the Cardinals taking down the 49ers.
