The 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit had just about everything you could have imagined. The crowd broke the Day 1 NFL Draft attendance record two hours before the draft even started. Then, they reached capacity again on Day 2. By Day 3, Detroit shattered the previous three-day record by 175,000, which is close to what other cities posted the entire weekend.
Over the course of those three days, we saw Terrion Arnold have the warmest welcome a draft pick has ever received. We also saw Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer don the Detroit-famous Cartier Buffs glasses to announce the Lions’ fourth-round draft pick.
