News broke Friday morning that the Detroit Lions are re-signing linebacker Derrick Barnes to a three-year, $25.5 million deal, with $16 million in guarantees.
Barnes is a member of Lions general manager Brad Holmes’ inaugural draft class back in 2021, and was having a terrific start to 2024 before an unfortunate knee injury in a Week 3 win over the Arizona Cardinals caused him to miss the rest of the season.
