The Detroit Lions made Jared Goff the second-highest paid quarterback in the NFL on Monday, signing him to a four-year extension worth $212 million and $170 million guaranteed. He is also the highest paid Lion ever, with the number coming in at $53 million AAV.
Goff is the third Lion to receive a massive extension this offseason, though the Lions didn’t make him the highest paid at his position like they did with Amon-Ra St. Brown and Penei Sewell.
The move was an expected one, as Goff is coming off of a tremendous 2023 season and the front office has been very complimentary of his performance and his growth as a Lion.
