One of the Detroit Lions’ most interesting players to watch this exhibition season could be the most interesting player we watched last exhibition season.
That would be running back Zach Zenner, who came out of nowhere last year as an undrafted rookie from South Dakota State and led the NFL with 183 rushing yards in the exhibition season.
But as quickly as Zenner burst onto the scene, he exited almost as fast. He was gone by mid-October after he suffered fractured ribs and a partially collapsed lung.
With a slow rehabilitation in front of him, Zenner soaked up as much of the game as he could in the classroom.
