Jameson Williams is ready for his NFL debut, but Romeo Okwara's return will have to wait at least another week.
Williams is active and expected to play a limited role for the Detroit Lions today against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The No. 12 pick of April's draft, Williams tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee Jan. 10. He opened the season on the nonfootball injury list, returned to practice before Thanksgiving and took team reps for the first time this week.
The Lions activated Williams from NFI and Okwara from the physically unable to perform list Saturday, but Okwara is one of the team's six inactives along with defensive lineman Michael Brockers, cornerback Amani Oruwariye, receiver Tom Kennedy and offensive linemen Logan Stenberg and Evan Brown (ankle).
