Dan Campbell called him “a pit bull that plays receiver,” and after leading the Detroit Lions to their first win of the season Sunday against the Washington Commanders, Amon-Ra St. Brown is NFC Offensive Player of the Week.
St. Brown caught nine passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns and had 68 yards rushing in the Lions’ 36-27 win over the Commanders.
He helped stave off a Washington rally with a 58-yard run to set up a D’Andre Swift touchdown late in the third quarter, and caught the clinching 11-yard touchdown pass with 7 minutes to play.
