GREEN BAY, Wis. – The streak is over.
The 24-game Detroit Lions losing streak in Wisconsin, one that spanned 13 starting quarterbacks, nine head coaches, four Presidents of the United States and has taken place in two different Wisconsin stadiums (Lambeau Field and Milwaukee County Stadium) is no more.
In this season of disappointment for the Detroit Lions, where little has gone right, where five coaches and front office personnel including the team president, general manager and offensive coordinator have been fired, this ended up being the Lions team that snapped the streak in an 18-16 win over Green Bay on Sunday at Lambeau Field.
