The Detroit Lions have declared their inactives for their Week 2 matchup versus the Green Bay Packers on “Monday Night Football”.
The Lions elected not to elevate any practice squad players this week, thus leaving their roster at 53 players. Additionally, because the Lions have eight offensive linemen active for today’s game, they are eligible to expand their game day roster from 46 to 48 players.
Therefore, with 53 players on the roster and 48 eligible to play, the Lions only need to declare five inactive for today’s matchup.
Here are those five players:
Lions inactives:
- WR Tyrell Williams (concussion) — ruled out due to injury
- DL Kevin Strong (concussion) — ruled out due to injury
- RB Jermar Jefferson
- EDGE Austin Bryant
- CB Corey Balentine
Williams was ruled out on Saturday and the Lions’ coaches are planning on increasing the playing time for receivers Trinity Benson—who took Williams place last week after he left the game—and Quintez Cephus.
