The Detroit Lions’ overhauling of their linebacking corps just won’t stop. The team announced on Tuesday that they have waived Brandon Chubb from the roster:
Though Chubb never played a game with the Lions, the team previously had serious interest in him. He first joined the team after the Rams dropped him from their practice squad early in 2016. He spent nearly the rest of the season on and off the Lions’ practice squad before the 49ers picked him up in late December.
But the Lions took him back by signing him to a futures contract for the 2017 season.
