The Detroit Lions announced on Thursday evening that they have waived fullback Nick Bawden.
Drafted in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Bawden’s career has been a series of unfortunate events at the professional level. He tore his ACL in the offseason of his rookie season. He lasted 10 games in 2019 before, again, landing on injured reserve. And last season, Bawden suffered a knee injury in training camp that landed him on IR. He did not play in a single game.
Bawden was not present during Thursday’s organized team activity practice, and now we know why.
