On Saturday, the Detroit Lions made another change to their defensive line. Undrafted rookie Jeremiah Valoaga was waived by the team after being a surprise inactive on Thursday. The team did not announce a corresponding move, so they currently have an open spot on the roster.
Valoaga was one of two undrafted defensive ends that made the Lions’ original roster, along with Alex Barrett. It was Valoaga, however, that earned the majority of the playing time before Barrett was cut a few weeks into the season.
Valoaga appeared in the first seven games of the Lions’ season, but only managed to make five tackles and one sack, despite playing in 151 total defensive snaps this season.
