To say that Detroit Lions fans haven’t seen what they’ve wanted out of the preseason would be an understatement. Yes, they’ve stayed relatively healthy throughout the exhibition season (knock on wood), and that’s ultimately the most important thing, but the team has done little to inspire faith or build excitement after two convincing losses to the Giants and Raiders.
But Friday presents an opportunity to put those games in the past. The third preseason game against the Buccaneers will most closely resemble a regular season game in its preparation, game-planning and talent on the field.
