The Detroit Lions kick off the new season with an NFC bout against one of the better-looking teams in the conference. The Philadelphia Eagles, fresh off an aggressive offseason, have big goals on their mind this season, and an early-year slip up would be a big blow to their confidence.
But confidence is not going to be lacking in Detroit. Coach Dan Campbell has his troops fired up and believing they could achieve big things this year. Or, as Campbell put it, this is a team that can and will.
The first thing they’ll have to prove they can and will do is avenge last year’s loss.
