The Detroit Lions would have kicked off NFL preseason today if not for COVID-19. 2020 has turned into an unprecedented affair for the league as a whole, with training camp taking place behind closed doors and the entire exhibition season cancelled.
This also means that entire training camp battles will take place without fans getting any knowledge of where the players stand or even getting a chance to see some players before they get released at the final cuts before the 53-man roster.
One of the more interesting stories to watch in preseason, if we were allowed to do so, would have been that of cornerback Darryl Roberts.
