With everyone focused on the one defensive back they're trying to trade, the Detroit Lions went out and traded for another one Wednesday.
The Lions acquired safety Duron Harmon in a trade with the New England Patriots hours before the 2020 league year was scheduled to open, a person informed of the deal told the Free Press.
NFL Network reported the Lions and Patriots exchanged late-round draft picks in the deal.
Harmon, a part-time starter for most of his seven seasons in New England, is the third ex-Patriot to join the Lions this week and should fill a starting spot in the secondary.
