A former lacrosse player worked as both a wide receiver and with special teams on Thursday during Detroit Lions minicamp.
After rookie minicamp, the Lions signed Tom Kennedy. A 22-year-old Bryant University. The 5-foot-11, 190 pounder is soaking in his first NFL opportunity.
"The whole culture, everybody helps each other out, everybody wants the same thing," Kennedy said after the final session of a three-day minicamp. "They want everybody to be at their best so the team can be at their best.
